FLYBOYS Aerial Shots, and the Super-G Camera Mount

Nettmann Systems would like to congratulate director Tony Bill and MGM Studios on the completion of the movie FLYBOYS, opening on September 22nd. Tony Bill wanted the aerials to be unlike any movie ever shot before, so he teamed up the most advanced aerial camera mount, our Super-G, with the Panavision Genesis Digital Camera. This was the first time that a digital film camera had ever been used on a helicopter, resulting in amazing aerial sequences. These were shot exclusively using our Super-G Aerial Camera Mount from a helicopter piloted by Fred North. The steerable roll capability, and precision control offered by our Super-G produced mind-blowing shots, some of which can be seen in this five minute FLYBOYS battle sequence video or the Flyboys Trailer.

Fiber-Optic Slip Rings in all NSI Gimbals

Nettmann Systems International has just completed engineering acceptance
testing on an NSI propriety designed fiber-optic/gold conductor
slip-ring unit. This new slip-ring device, unique to our brand new
product line of NSI gimbals, will pass perfect HD/SDI signals without
corruption. This fiber-optic rotary joint will allow the HI-DEF camera
block to be set to maximum gain without the picture suffering from
“noise and patterning in the blacks" in the video. Look for this
advancement in our Stab-C Lite, the Pin-Point, and our future line of
ENG stabilized camera gimbals.
